Kempo

Kempo is a generic name for multiple streams of martial art that originated in Japan and many use the hand game. So it's not just a name but the name of the flow of many streams and methods. Meaning of Kempo Martial with the game itself is a hand (in Mandarin called Quanfa).



The multiple streams of famous Kempo in Japan and Western countries are:

Tenshin Koryu Kempo, a martial arts since hundreds of years old before the Tokugawa era (Meiji Era). The last great teacher of this school is Takashi Ueno. Tenshin Koryu Kempo Martial is derived from a combination of flow Jujutsu Shinto Tenshin-ryu, weapons and empty hand techniques Asayama Ichiden-ryu and Shinto Muso-ryu Daken Taijutsu moves with the flow Hontai Kijin Chosui-ryu Daken Taijutsu Kukishinden. One of the inheritors of this flow is the grandmaster Tanemura shoto of Genbukan Dojo.

Nihon Kempo, modern martial arts Master Masaru Sawayama creation. Unique martial arts and is a combination of techniques from Karate-kick at the dings and techniques of Judo and Jujutsu struggle. Now it's become a popular sport in many countries.

Kosho-Ryu Kempo
martial arts handed down from the Mitose family. Last Grandmaster of this school is Masayoshi Mitose which then lowers his knowledge to his students are American. So that the flow is known as Kempo American Kenpo Karate.

Shorinji Kempo, martial arts comes from the joint Indo Kempo (Martial Arts of India) and the ancient Chinese science ketabiban created by Bodhidharma / Dharma Taishi / Tatmo Cowsu a Buddhist monk to be given to candidates bikhsu as religious education in Zen Buddhism, in the year 550 M, spread after world War 2 by So Doshin.
